Christians in Iraq and Syria are facing more and more threats every day. The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has driven thousands from their homes, murdered hundreds who refused to convert or leave their homes, and sold hundreds more into slavery.
And now ISIS is posting photos from members in the United States threatening our very safety.
The Obama Administration ignored the cries of Christians in the Middle East. Now they are acting to protect thousands who face slaughter and genocide at the hands of Islamic extremists, but this comes too late for Christians who were driven from their homes in Syria and Iraq and faced robbery, beatings, and execution. Even former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been critical of Obama's handling of the situation, calling the President's inaction in Syria a failure that "left a big vacuum, which the jihadists have now filled."
Obama's months of inaction on behalf of Christians was called out last month by Congressman Frank Wolf :But it took nearly two more weeks before Obama acted -- and by then it was too late."I believe what is happening to the Christian community in Iraq is genocide," he said in a speech to the House of Representatives. "I also believe it is a crime against humanity. Where is the West? Where is the Obama Administration? Where is the Congress? The silence is deafening."
After 2,000 years there are no Christians left in Mosul. And now ISIS has captured Qaraqosh, Iraq's largest Christian city, forcing more than 200,000 people to flee their homes - 50,000 of them Christians - and slaughtering many who stayed behind, including the 5-year-old son of a founding member of St. George's Anglican Church in Baghdad - an evangelical Christian church.
The means by which ISIS is going about achieving their goal of a Christian-free Islamic state is nothing short of genocide. More must be done to protect these innocent people from these brutal assaults by ISIS and Shariah Law - and before this threat truly manifests itself on our shores.
Christian America must wake up. Please forward this email to your friends and family to remind them of the suffering of Christians in the Middle East.
Sincerely,

15 Resolves for Maintaining Spiritual Balance in Severe Interpersonal Conflicts The pain of interpersonal conflict may seem too acute to bear. Sometimes we see these conflicts erupt suddenly among families, or between church members, or at work or school. They may involve serious allegations that tend to rip people apart in ways that seem irreparable. In these most severe ruptures of confidence, when the necrosis of sin is eating up the lives of those involved, is it possible to rise above and maintain a spiritual composure? Certainly that must be so. But we have to apply biblical principles ruthlessly, without wavering. Sin must be confronted when a person is truly abusive to you. If you are in such a relationship, seek counsel from a pastor or Christian counselor. Don't feel ashamed to deal with the issue. It will be the best thing for you and the abusive person. God has clearly stated: "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault" (Mt. 18:15). What follows in Matth...
